I, Chirantan Mukherjee or kaur chimuk, am a trans-media performance actionist & curator from India. I Completed my schooling in India under WBHSC and graduation from Punjab Technical University, India (in final year specialisation paper GRAPHIC DESIGN as project specialisation) and thereafter higher advance studies from MAYA ACADEMY OF ADVANCE CINEMATICS, under the premier brand of Aptech Limited, India and certified by the International VFX & Animation Council (IVAC).
I'm mainly work in graphic design and collective performative action. I also like to engage in writing and photography (image-design) and hence in a way deal with the paradoxical case of the so called 'performance-documentation', we say "memory”. I was associated with an independent artist collective called ‘Pi’ (Performers independent). Working with the core ideas of 'happening' and 'trans-mediality.', I am practicing curation in India and abroad.
Queer political illustration and radical performance art expressionism is where my interests lie. Together, I attempt to initiate a dialogue between community art and non-binary viewership. Currently,I am associated with Meteor International(Swedish International Artist Collective), KIPAF (India’s pioneer international performance art festival) and Inventory Platform(London).
